Having trouble finding time to exercise? Are you feeling like your exercise gets put on the back-burner? I feel like I’m always finding reasons not to work out. Like, the laundry has to be done, or dinner has to be made, I have to go to the grocery store, or I just need that ten (*hits snooze*), twenty extra minutes of sleep.
Mini-Workouts during the day!
Workout here and there! Park further away. Do a few push-ups. Take some walks during your breaks at work. Whatever, whenever. You can even work out with your dog! (Read the Blog About Dogs!)
How about at the grocery store?
If you have to grocery shop, get twice the milk. And lift up, down, up, down, up. Put them in the basket QUICK before anyone sees you. I’m not kidding, my husband actually does this, and he looks pretty amazing doing it. So, why can’t I look at strong and cool, too? He actually doesn’t care if anyone sees him. And while you’re at the grocery store, make an extra loop around the store, after your basket is filled and is nice and heavy. Remember to stretch!
Be kind, exercise.
Also something that is super nice to do, is go collect a few of the stray roll-baskets. You are doing something very altruistic, I mean, you’re gonna look like a hero, AND you’ll get to workout a little extra.
Take little work-out breaks during the day.
When you’re at work, during your break, taking a little walk around will actually increase your energy, giving you a little more pep for the day. Needing more energy? (Read the blog about foods that have natural caffeine in them.)
